Xiomara A. Maldonado
Xiomara A. Maldonado is a New York City native who draws upon the urban landscape, her Puerto Rican heritage and, more recently, life as a single mother to an infant for creative inspiration.
Xiomara received a degree in English and Creative Writing at Barnard College-Columbia University and is an avid poet, photographer and blogger. She won The Lenore Marshall Prize for Poetry: Honorable Mention in 2008 and First Prize in the ESU Poetry Competition of 2005.
